Useless Things adds a set of novelty items to Fabric 1.18.2, with crafted ingots, a core item and a generator that can be built early in survival.
What it does
Useless Things adds a group of items that serve little purpose in themselves, such as ingots made from ender pearl shards and iron, and a core item that is crafted from an ender pearl and gunpowder. Tools can also be crafted from the useless ingot. Some items are rare drops, with a 0.1% chance of dropping from a mob, and a few items can be tried by right clicking them on blocks.
The generator is built from 7 obsidian blocks and redstone dust, and it needs power from the Energy API to run other mods that use that interface. The mod is aimed at the early game, where its recipes give players something to craft before mid-game gear is available. Installation covers the server and each player's game. Useless Things is open source under the MIT License and has files for 1.18.2 only, with 2.0.2 the latest, released on 2024-09-30.
