UsefulFood Community

by skniro

UsefulFood Community adds more than 70 food items to Minecraft Forge, including juices, smoothies, pies, sandwiches, soups and ice cream.

ForgeClient and serverCC0 1.0 UniversalOpen source1.9.4 – 1.12.2

What it does

The mod adds a large variety of food to the game, aiming to give players many useful dishes to make without changing the feel of vanilla survival. Its recipes are deliberately complicated, so food takes effort to prepare. Squids also drop new items, giving the food supply another source.

Players who want more meals to cook than vanilla offers will find the mod's range useful. Because it runs on both the client and the server, a server needs it installed and every player needs it as well. Installation requires Minecraft Forge; no other loader is supported.

The project is published for Minecraft Forge across four release versions, 1.9.4 – 1.12.2, and the latest file, 1.5.0-1.12.2-Forge, targets 1.12.2. The code is open source under the CC0 1.0 Universal license, which places it in the public domain, and the source code and issue tracker are public.

The mod introduces over 70 new food items, covering a wide selection of meals and snacks.

  2. Drinks and desserts

Juices, smoothies, pies and ice cream are among the drinks and sweets the mod adds to the game.

  3. Savory dishes

Sandwiches and soups give players hearty meals alongside the sweeter items.

  4. Squid drops

New items drop from squids, so players can collect ingredients without relying on farming alone.

  5. Complicated recipes

Recipes for the added food are intentionally involved, requiring several steps to craft each dish.
