UnstableOrbital turns ordinary items such as fishing rods and tridents into orbital weapons that call down strikes from the sky.
What it does
Server-side only: the mod is installed on the server and players join without installing it. Builds for Fabric and NeoForge are both available for 1.21.1, with the 1.0.0 beta files released on 2026-06-01 and 2026-06-02. The license is the MIT License, and the project is not open source.
Once running, the mod adds seven weapon types and eleven admin tools. A player aims a fishing rod at a target and clicks to bring retribution down from the sky, while tridents and other harmless items become weapons. Damage effects apply from the owner's perspective, so the person who fires a strike is credited for it. Weapon redirection and a command access control, set with a dogol configuration flag, let server owners decide who may receive weapons.
The mod stores its weapon data in DataComponents.CUSTOM_DATA, which the author says avoids conflicts with other mods. Installation means placing the file in the mods folder and restarting the server. Anyone who needs to give weapons uses the give command while holding an item and aiming at a target with a right-click.
