Uncrafting Dropper
by Luicuelo
Uncrafting Dropper is a Forge utility block that breaks an item back into its crafting components when an item is dropped into it.
What it does
Placing an item into the Uncrafting Dropper attempts to reverse its crafting recipe, so the ingredients come back out. The block works like a dropper: its outputs go to the world or to a connected inventory, and redstone signals toggle it, which lets automated builds run the process without a player present. Components are produced by the mod's own disassembly logic and do not depend on any other mod.
Enchanted books can be broken down too, with enchantments extracted and a drop probability that the config file sets. Damaged tools, armor and weapons are handled so their durability is accounted for, and a tier system lets upgrades improve efficiency, resource recovery and enchantment extraction. The mod works with Redstone Integration and Support Custom Uncrafting Recipes, and it is published for Forge only, for 1.12.2, with the latest file, 0.61, dated 2025-07-13.
Installation requires the mod on both the server and each client, because the environment is client and server. The source code is under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, so the mod is open source, and its issue tracker is public.
