Uncraftables Datapack
by SpicySteve
Uncraftables Datapack makes items that vanilla Minecraft cannot craft into craftable ones, by adding recipes through a data pack.
What it does
The mod adds recipes for items that normally cannot be crafted. The recipes become available when a player completes a Minecraft advancement, so progress through the game gates them. Content covers a chainmail armour set, coral blocks and coral items, an experience bottle, gilded blackstone, a name tag and reinforced deepslate.
Only the server needs the datapack, and a client may leave it out, so players can join without installing anything. The mod is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later. Builds cover 1.13 – 1.21.10, with 38 release versions and snapshot builds published, and the latest file targets 1.21.10.
Key features
Craftable chainmail armour
A chainmail armour set becomes craftable, adding pieces that vanilla recipes leave out.

Coral blocks and coral items gain crafting recipes so they can be made from other materials.
Name tags and experience bottles
Name tags and experience bottles can be crafted, giving players ways to label mobs and store experience.
Advancement-gated recipes
Recipes become available after a player completes a Minecraft advancement, tying the new crafts to progress.

Use cases
Progression tuning
Server owners who want crafting access tied to advancements can keep the order of the game while adding recipes.
Who it’s for: Server owners who want items that vanilla leaves uncraftable to become craftable, without installing a mod on every player's client.
How it compares
Uncraftable items Craftable is server-side as well, licensed under the MIT License and published for 1.14 – 1.20.1, so it covers an earlier range than this datapack. Uncraftables Plus runs on the server with 1.21 – 1.21.9 files and is licensed as All rights reserved, which means its code is not open source. Coral Craft targets 1.21 – 26.2 and is also closed under All rights reserved, while Craftable Coral Blocks uses a custom license for 1.21.5 – 26.3.
