Unmovable Mines
by LoremV
Unmovable Mines puts two fixed structures into the world, holding ores that players can take and process, and is built with Create trains in mind.
What it does
Structures generate in the world as fixed sites, and each one carries over 20 ores placed in patterns modeled on real life examples, with several ores found in each site. A processor block takes ore out of a site and works it into its elements in raw form, such as raw iron or sulfur dust. Information about what an ore holds can be read by interacting with the blocks involved, or by hovering over it in chat.
A chemical dust item stores the elements the player has ever processed, so the mod keeps a record of what has been obtained. Chemical dust can also be used in the air to convert one element into another, which is useful when a specific element is wanted in a different form. The author tested the process with Create deployers and describes it as a way to automate work that the Create trains otherwise handle differently. Chests and other blocks only stay loaded when their chunk is loaded, so a processor needs its chunk loaded to keep working.
Unmovable Mines runs on client and server, so both the server and every player need it. It is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across 16 release versions, 1.19 – 1.21.5, under the MIT License, and is open source. Forge users can run it with Sinytra.
