Ultra Amplified Dimension - Forge

Terrain in the dimension is split into stacked floating layers, and the biomes follow vanilla-like designs with terrain features adjusted to suit the stacked landscape. Trees spawn beneath the layers, glowstone-infused blocks light large patches, and columns connect one layer to the next. Some biomes are changed considerably: Tall Birch Forest generates massive thick 2x2 trees, ocean biomes hold giant floating bowls of water, and Ice Mountain becomes an Iced Terrain biome where stone is replaced by ice. Nether and End biomes are included in the world as well.

New structures include Mushroom Temples and Ice Spike Temples that dig down through the layers. Ravines form a maze-like network that leads to giant caves whose floors are filled with lava. The mod is built to be difficult and to reward exploring every corner, and the author suggests bringing torches when heading into the lower layers. Heavy Fog settings can be turned up in the configs for a more intense atmosphere.

Only the client and the server need the mod, since the environment is client and server, so both sides must run it. The code is licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, and it is not open source. The author asks that bugs be reported through the issue tracker, which is linked from the mod's public pages.
