UltimateHotbars

by MegaNoob75

Players who run out of hotbar slots can use UltimateHotbars, which adds custom hotbar pages beyond the vanilla nine-slot bar.

ForgeClient required, server optionalMIT LicenseOpen source1.20.1

What it does

Vanilla Minecraft keeps nine saved hotbar slots. UltimateHotbars removes that limit by letting players create custom hotbar pages, so layouts for tools, gear and resources can be kept apart and switched on demand. Pages are stored per world, and the mod is built for Forge on Minecraft 1.20.1.

The mod is client required, while the server may add it as optional. Players who install it on their own client get the full feature set, and a server running without it still works for everyone else. The source code is public and the mod is open source under the MIT License, with a public issue tracker and wiki.

Version 2 of UltimateHotbars stores its data in a new hotbars.dat file inside each world folder, so it no longer uses the global data of Version 1. Players upgrading from Version 1 need to use the config menu and the Purge Data Files button, because the older hotbar data does not carry over cleanly.

Key features

  1. Virtual hotbar pages

Custom hotbar pages extend the nine-slot bar, letting players keep many tool and item layouts ready.

  2. Peek and overlay

A peek popup and a hotbar overlay show pages and slots without closing the current screen.

  3. Pages that change in place

Pages change in place, and a quick clear action empties a page when a layout is no longer needed.

  4. Inventory and creative support

Layouts can be set in the inventory and container screens, with drag and drop in the creative inventory and JEI.

Questions
