Unlimited Banner Layers

by IThundxr

With Unlimited Banner Layers, players can stack more pattern layers on a banner than vanilla allows, and the cap is set in a config file.

FabricQuiltClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source1.20.1

What it does

Vanilla Minecraft limits a banner to 6 layers. This mod raises that ceiling to 16 by default, and the limit is adjustable in the unlimitedbannerlayers.json file inside the config folder. The mod is configured using Mod Menu. It needs Fabric API and runs on Fabric or Quilt for 1.20.1 only, with both client and server needing it.

Key features

  1. Higher layer cap

Banners can carry more pattern layers than the default vanilla maximum of 6.

  2. Adjustable maximum

The layer limit is set in a config file, so a server or player can choose any cap.

  3. Mod Menu configuration

Settings can also be changed through Mod Menu instead of editing the file by hand.

What the author says

The name already explains what this does but basically this mod will add a config file named unlimitedbannerlayers.json in the config folder, which will let you specify the max number of layers you will be able to have on banners. The default vanilla limit is 6 and this mod will set it to 16 by default.
