Turtles Drop Scute changes the loot table of turtles so that each one drops a Turtle Scute when it dies, a change that players can see right after a kill.
What it does
The mod makes turtles drop one Turtle Scute on death. The change follows the way sheep yield wool when they are sheared, so a turtle becomes a steady source of scutes. Because the mod is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, the same loot change applies on each loader, and the author states that the loot changes use the loader's API so they stay compatible with other mods. Fabric API is required on Fabric builds, and the environment is client and server, so the server and every player need it. Builds cover 1.16.5 – 1.21.5, and the latest files target 1.21.5 on all four loaders.
