Treeplacer Wyther's Addon
Treeplacer Wyther's Addon extends the Treeplacer datapack with tree placements from William Wyther's trees for worlds that generate them.
What it does
The addon requires Treeplacer and works with the Treeplacer datapack, so it is a server-side component that changes which trees grow in a world. Players joining such a server do not need to install anything. Files are published for Fabric and Forge, and the latest release, 1.0.0, targets 1.19.4 and was published on 2023-04-20. Five release versions exist in total, covering 1.19 – 1.19.4.
Trees are represented per biome: a mega variant is provided for each biome where one applies, a singular dark oak version covers the dark oak biomes, and the flowering azalea variant leaves the normal azalea trees untouched. Most trees appear in a representative set, with only one or two outliers. The source files include a check that the experiment is valid. The addon is released under the MIT License but is not open source.
Key features
Datapack placement
Tree placement is handled through the Treeplacer datapack, so no custom tree code runs on the client.
Biome mega variants
Each biome receives a mega version of the matching tree where one is defined.
Dark oak and azalea handling
Dark oak gets a singular version for its biomes, and flowering azalea leaves regular azalea trees unchanged.
Covered tree types
Several familiar species are included, from mushroom trees to mangroves, so most biome trees are represented.

Use cases
Who it’s for: Server owners who run Treeplacer and want William Wyther's trees in their worlds. Players on those servers can join without installing the addon.
How it compares
Treeplacer - WWEE is a Fabric and Forge addon for 1.20.1, released under All rights reserved and not open source. Its environment is server required with the client optional, like this addon. Treeplacer - Terralith Addon is also server required with the client optional, covers 1.19.2 – 1.20.1, and is released under the MIT License without being open source. This addon is for 1.19 – 1.19.4, so it fits an older game version range than either.
