Totem Announcer

by CrispCesar98

Totem Announcer posts a chat message to every player on a server when someone uses a Totem of Undying, so the moment is visible to the whole community.

FabricClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source1.20.1 – 1.21.1

What it does

When a player's Totem of Undying activates, the mod sends a notice to the chat for all players, naming the player who was saved. It is aimed at servers that want to mark these moments for their community, and it changes nothing about how the totem itself works.

Messages are shown in each player's own language. The author lists support for English (United States and United Kingdom), Spanish (Spain and Mexico), French, German, Portuguese (Brazil and Portugal), Russian, Japanese, Korean and Chinese (China and Taiwan). The mod is published for Fabric only, with files for 1.20.1 and 1.21.1; the latest file is 1.2.0 for 1.21.1, released 2026-01-15.

Every player and the server need a copy of the mod. The code is open source under the MIT License, and the source is public.

Key features

  1. Totem pop announcements

Each activation of a Totem of Undying is announced in chat, so players see when someone survives a fatal hit.

  2. Localized messages

Each message is rendered in the language the player has selected, using the language codes the mod supports.

  3. Wide language list

Support covers Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, Korean and Chinese, with regional variants where the language differs.

  4. Fabric 1.21.1 port

The 1.21.1 build reworks language handling so messages display correctly for each player's configured language.

Use cases

Who it’s for: Server owners and players who want survival moments announced in chat. Single-player worlds gain little from it, since the notice goes to the chat of the players online.
