Timo

by Timo_11

Timo is a Data Pack and mod that adds recipes, advancements, structures and loot table changes to vanilla Minecraft, released for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt.

FabricForgeNeoForgeQuiltServer required, client optionalBSD 3-Clause LicenseOpen source1.13 – 1.21.8

What it does

Timo adds many new crafting recipes, advancements and structures, and it changes some vanilla loot tables. Several conversions are included: stonecutting can produce pottery sherds from bricks and convert saplings or stone types, while uncrafting returns the material of golden, iron and diamond armor and tools. Smelting smoked golden apples yields enchanted golden apples, and dyeing candles, concrete powder, terracotta or glazed terracotta is handled through crafting as well.

The mod also covers smaller utility recipes: Shulker Shells can be crafted, blocks such as amethyst, blue ice, packed ice, quartz and wool can be unpacked, and crying obsidian can be made by smelting obsidian. A mob head can be transformed into another mob head at a smithing table, and Timo adds a recipe for Breeze Blaze Rods. The author notes that the Shulker Shell recipe was added after version 1.20.2 changed shulker farming. Datapack Portals is bundled inside the mod.

Timo runs on Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, and a Data Pack version is also available. The server must run it, while players may leave it out. Files cover 1.13 – 1.21.8 across 43 release versions, with snapshot builds published. It is released under the BSD 3-Clause License and is open source; the source code and issue tracker are public.

Key features

  1. Stonecutting conversions

The stonecutter turns bricks into pottery sherds, saplings into other saplings and stone types into cobblestone.

  2. Uncrafting tools and armor

Golden, iron and diamond armor and tools can be uncrafted, with leather armor excluded from the list.

  3. Smelting and dyeing recipes

Golden apples are smelted into enchanted golden apples, and several colored blocks can be dyed or changed.

  4. Unpacking blocks

Amethyst, blue ice, packed ice, nether wart, quartz and wool blocks can be unpacked back to their parts.

  5. Mob head transformation

A smithing table converts one mob head into another, and mounts can be given armor through uncrafting.
