Thanks I Have REI
by Bendi
Thanks I Have REI is a Utility mod that removes features many players find annoying or unused in Minecraft Java Edition.
What it does
Thanks I Have REI turns off a set of default behaviors and prompts. Auto Jump is off by default, music is muted by default, and the GUI scale starts at 2. Telemetry is disabled, the recipe book is removed from the interface, and the Experimental warning when creating worlds with mods or datapacks is suppressed. The multiplayer disclaimer still appears when the multiplayer button is clicked, and the outdated resource pack warning screen is disabled.
The mod runs on Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, so either side can run it and neither needs it. Files are published for 1.18, 1.19.2, 1.19.3, 1.20.1, 1.21 and 1.21.1, with the latest Fabric file at 1.7 for 1.21.1 from 2025-08-19 and the latest Forge file at 1.6 for 1.21. Thanks I Have REI is open source under the MIT License, and its source code and issue tracker are public.
Key features
Auto Jump off by default
Auto Jump is turned off on first launch, so players must enable it themselves if they want it.
Quieter defaults
Music is muted and the GUI scale is set to 2 by default, so a new world starts with those settings in place.
Recipe book removed
The recipe book is removed from the interface, and the removal is handled on the server side as well.
Telemetry disabled
Telemetry is disabled by default, so the game does not send usage data.

Use cases
Players who dislike default prompts
Players who want fewer warnings can keep the Experimental and outdated resource pack screens from appearing.
Who it’s for: Players who want a cleaner default setup, and server owners who prefer that players do not see the recipe book or certain prompts.
How it compares
No Resource Pack Warnings is client-side only and open source under the MIT License, covering Fabric and Quilt for 1.14 – 26.3, and handles only the resource pack warning. Hide Experimental Warning is client-side only and not open source, covering Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt for 1.19.2 – 26.3. REI Integrations (RE2) is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v2.1 only, runs on Fabric and Forge for 1.20.1 only, and works on either side, and neither side needs it.
