The Cake is a lie is a Forge adventure data pack that restores an achievement-based progression meme from older Minecraft versions.
What it does
The mod brings back a set of achievements that disappeared when progression moved to advancements, and it reproduces the Cake Lie portal as a data pack. Server owners who want the old achievement path can add it to a world without changing the client. Files are published for Forge, for 27 release versions 1.13 – 1.20.1, and a Data pack build is also listed. Only the server needs the mod, and players may join without installing it. The license is Creative Commons Attribution Non Commercial No Derivatives 4.0, so the mod is not open source.
