TheBr0kEn is a Forge survival horror mod that reshapes the Minecraft world into an unsettling, fractured place where players explore abandoned terrain and search for a way out.
What it does
Players are dropped into terrain that feels hostile and silent. The environment reacts subtly to the player's presence, and fear is built through atmosphere and jumpscares rather than combat. Lore is scattered across the world in fragments, so players piece together the setting while they explore.
Installation needs Better Animations Collection, Chat Animation [Smooth Chat], Fastload, Kotlin for Forge and VHS Overlay, all of which must be present alongside the mod. CTR VCR is optional. The mod runs on client and server, and the open source code is licensed under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later. Files target Forge 1.20.1 only, with 1.0.0 as the latest alpha build, published on 2026-01-01.
