The Maze Runner

The Griever lurks inside maze walls and attacks players and passive mobs such as villagers. It matches a sprinting player's pace, and three bites kill its target. Its sting spreads the Flare virus, and the Griever itself is immune to the infection.

Flare is a bio-engineered disease that spreads among villagers, hostile mobs and players. It damages a player at random, and milk does not remove it. The Flare Cure item removes the virus when right-clicked on an infected entity, while the Flare Injector applies it. Using the cure causes other unpleasant effects, and eleven in-game minutes of infection lower maximum health, with the amount depending on the amplifier, which grows by one every 25 minutes up to a cap of seven. A husk spawns where a Flare-infected entity dies.

Maze Runner requires Fabric API and Geckolib, and it runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. Files are published for Fabric 1.21.8 and 1.21.11, with 1.4.0 for 1.21.11 as the latest. The code is open source under the MIT License.
