TCDCommons API
by TheCSDev
TCDCommons API gives mod developers a shared GUI framework, JSON-based config handling and a set of extra game hooks, so common code does not have to be rewritten in each project.
What it does
Developers who build mods for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge or Quilt can use TCDCommons API for its own GUI system, its events and hooks into the game, and a group of utilities for routine modding tasks. The library is aimed at shortening development time and avoiding repeated code across mods that do similar things.
Because it is a library, it offers little for a player who only wants to play. Architectury API is required, and on Fabric the Fabric API is needed too, but not on NeoForge. Builds for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt span 28 release versions, 1.18.2 – 26.3, with snapshot builds also published. Either side can run it, and neither needs it, and it uses a custom license that is not open source, with public links to its source code, issue tracker and wiki.
Key features
GUI framework
A GUI system that a mod can build its own screens on, instead of writing each interface from scratch.
JSON-based config system
Settings for a mod can be stored and read as JSON files through the library's config system.
Game hooks
Extra hooks into the game give mod code points at which to attach its own behavior.
Utilities for developers
A set of helper utilities covers tasks that mods tend to repeat, such as common setup and data handling.

Use cases
Building a mod with its own screens
A developer can base the menus and settings screens of a new mod on the GUI framework and reuse them across releases.
Storing mod settings as JSON
A mod can keep its configuration in JSON files read through the library's config system, with no separate config code.
Who it’s for: Mod developers who want shared GUI, config and hook code for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge or Quilt projects.
