Tameable Foxes lets players tame wild foxes with glow berries, so a tamed fox follows its owner and can be bred with sweet berries.
What it does
Foxes can be tamed with glow berries, and a tamed fox stays with its owner. Tamed foxes can breed with sweet berries, and a config option controls whether babies trust players. Tamed foxes also travel through portals with their owner and stop attacking when their health drops below 20 percent. Chunks that are unloaded do not lose tamed foxes.
The mod is built around a set of config options, and the taming, breeding and trust behavior can be adjusted on the server. It includes built-in compatibility with the Calm down, dog! mod, which lets patting calm foxes stop them biting their favorite friend. Tamed foxes do not attack squirrels, and the pat animation works on foxes when a player presses shift near a pet. Tameable Foxes requires Fabric API and Fzzy Config. It is open source under the MIT License and runs on client and server, with files published for Fabric and NeoForge across five release versions, 1.20.1 – 1.21.5.
