SwapHand lets a player move the item in the main hand to the off hand with one key press, from a setting under Options and Skin Customization.
What it does
Switching hands works through a single keybind in the game. Pressing the swap key while playing moves the held item between the two hands, so no menu has to be opened for the change. The same choice is also available in the Skin Customization settings, found under the Options menu, where the main hand can be set to left or right.
The mod is a client-side Fabric mod, so it runs on the player's game and needs nothing on the server. Installation requires Fabric Loader and Fabric API on Minecraft 1.20.1 and newer. The jar goes into the mods folder, and the mod can be reached from the main menu, the pause menu or the ESC screen by clicking the SwapHand button in the bottom-left corner. The project is published for 1.20.1 only, and the code is not open source; it is released under All rights reserved.
Setting changes apply without restarting the world, and the swap key can be rebound like any other control in the game's controls menu. Customization stays in the settings screens so the play screen is not cluttered.
