Subnautica After Zero
Subnautica After Zero continues the Subnautica story in Minecraft with a new plot set after Below Zero, built for NeoForge.
What it does
The mod carries the Subnautica setting into Minecraft, with new story content set after the events of Below Zero. It adds voice acting and lore written for the franchise, and it draws on the look of the original games through similar fish, tools and biomes. Because the content reuses familiar ideas, players who know the games will recognize much of what they find.
The author recommends installing the official modpack instead of the mod alone, since the modpack compiles the mod with the resource packs and map it needs. The map is meant to be played with two to four players, and the author notes that it works correctly only in its own world, so players who install the mod in their own worlds may find some things do not behave as intended. A recommended shader is also listed on the project page.
The mod is published for NeoForge and runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. Files exist for 1.21.1, 1.21.4, 1.21.8 and 26.1.2, and the latest file is Act_1e for 26.1.2. It is released under All rights reserved and is not open source.
