Strayer's Skyblock Utils (SSU) is a Fabric utility mod that adds quality-of-life tweaks for Hypixel SkyBlock players, plus voice chat tools for SSU users.
What it does
SSU is a client-side Fabric mod with small tweaks aimed at Hypixel SkyBlock. Its author began it as a personal project to add features that other mods did not offer in the way the author wanted. Players on the client install it alone, and no server component is needed to use the tweaks.
The voice features connect to the SSU server, where SSU users can find each other and set up voice chat. Settings are handled through the mod's config screen, which opens from Mod Menu. The mod requires Fabric API, Cloth Config API and Mod Menu, and it is published only for Fabric, for 1.21.11 – 26.2 across five release versions, with 5.0.1+26.2 as the latest file for 26.2.
SSU is released under All rights reserved and is not open source, although its source code and issue tracker are publicly linked. Its first file was published on 2026-03-05 and the page was last updated on 2026-10-11.

Push-to-talk voice
Voice is activated by a push-to-talk key, so the microphone is only live while the key is held.
Noise suppression and gain
RNNoise removes background noise, and a speech gate with automatic gain keeps voices steady and clean.
Mute and deafen controls
Players can mute or deafen themselves, and the current status is shown to others in the voice session.
Voice HUD
An on-screen panel lists who is connected and who is currently talking.
