Stoat
Stoat is a NeoForge datapack that gives physics properties from the Sable mod to more modded blocks, so they float, drift or weigh differently in the world.
What it does
Stoat works through a datapack rather than Java code. It adds Sable physics properties to blocks from other mods, and the listed examples include Sky Lanterns, Block Box, Architect's Palette and Abyssaline. Some of these blocks rise, some drift away, and some weigh the same as their counterparts while behaving differently.
The datapack targets content from Create Deco, Farmer's Delight, Nether's Delight, Miner's Delight, Abundant Atmosphere and other compatible mods, and it also covers a few vanilla blocks. Ender Pearl related blocks, fluid-affected blocks and Spelunkery items are among the additions. The author states the list is incomplete.
Stoat requires Sable and the Create Simulated mod, and their tags and features are used by the datapack. It is published for NeoForge 1.21 and 1.21.1 under a Creative Commons Attribution Share Alike 4.0 license, which is not open source. Only the server needs the datapack to run; players may leave it out and still join.
Key features
Sable physics for modded blocks
Blocks from several content mods receive Sable physics properties, changing how they fall, float or move.
Floating and drifting blocks
Some blocks, such as Sky Lanterns and Block Box, rise or drift away instead of sitting still.
Tag-based properties
Mod authors can tag their own Sable-compatible blocks so the physics properties apply to them as well.
Modpack-ready datapack
The datapack can be included in modpacks and modified, with credit and a link back to the source.
