Stanley Temperature

by Garkatron

Stanley Temperature is a library for player temperature on b1.7.3, providing the classes and methods other mods use to read and change it.

BTA BabricClient and serverCreative Commons Attribution Non Commercial 4.0b1.7.3

What it does

Stanley Temperature exposes accessible functions for managing the player's temperature and adds new damage types that other content can apply. Its classes and methods monitor changes in player temperature, so a mod built on it can react when the value shifts. The mod is a library: its gameplay features are deactivated, and only its library features are active.

Because it is a dependency for HalpLibe-based content, the mod must be installed alongside HalpLibe. A server running it needs every connecting player to have it too. Builds exist for b1.7.3 only, with snapshot builds published, and the mod is released under the Creative Commons Attribution Non Commercial 4.0 license, so it is not open source.

Key features

  1. Temperature management functions

Accessible functions let other code read and manage the player's temperature.

  2. Temperature change monitoring

Classes and methods watch for changes in player temperature and report them to calling code.

  3. New damage types

The library defines damage types that content built on it can use when temperature affects the player.

  4. Library-only behavior

Gameplay features are switched off, so only the library's functions are active in a game.
