Mapa puts a world map and mini map into the HUD, with player heads, mob icons and a seed-based map generator.
What it does
Mapa is a client-side map mod for the Babric loader. Its world map and mini map show the terrain around the player while they explore. Player heads are drawn directly on the map, which makes it easier to track other players in multiplayer. Mobs appear on the map with their own icons, so hostile and passive creatures can be told apart at a glance.
The mod can also generate a map from a seed, so a player can preview the layout of a world before or while travelling through it. Additional icons extend the markers shown on the map. Because the mod runs on the client alone, a server does not have to install anything for players to use it. Mapa requires HalpLibe, which must be installed alongside it. Files are published for b1.7.3 only, released under the MIT License and not open source.
