Stack 'Em

by tracystacktrace

Stack 'Em lets several texture packs be enabled at once in the b1.7.3 build of Minecraft, with the order of the packs respected when resources are loaded.

What it does

Stack 'Em replaces the standard texture pack handler with a custom one that reads several zip files together. Packs are stacked in a chosen order, so resources from a higher pack take precedence over those below it. The changes are applied through Mixins, which patch the game's source code during loading, and it requires FoxLoader to run. Snapshot builds are published alongside the release files for the single game version b1.7.3.

Key features

  1. Stacked texture packs

Several texture packs can be active together, and a higher pack in the order overrides files from those beneath it.

  2. Ordered resource fetching

Resources are looked up in the configured pack order, so the result is predictable when two packs share a file name.

  3. Zip-based pack handling

The custom texture pack handler reads multiple zip files, with the input and output work done inside the handler.

No per-version build data
Modrinth lists game versions for this project (b1.7.3), but the source data has no build per game version and loader, so the compatibility grid is not shown.
