stacc-api

by Devan-Kerman

Stacc is a library that lets developers give items stack sizes far above the vanilla limit of 64.

FabricClient and serverCC0 1.0 UniversalOpen source1.19.2 – 1.20.2

What it does

Developers use the mod to create items whose stacks hold much more than 64. Alone it adds no content and changes nothing a player can see, so it only matters when another mod depends on it. The mod replaces the item count display for large numbers so the text does not cover adjacent slots, and it includes bug fixes that make greater stack sizes work. Stacc is published for Fabric only, across five game versions 1.19.2 – 1.20.2, and it runs on client and server. Its code is open source under the CC0 1.0 Universal license.

Key features

  1. Large item stacks

Lets developers define items that stack well beyond 64 per slot.

  2. Readable large counts

Replaces the count renderer for very large numbers so text stays inside its slot.

  3. Safer large-stack saves

Serializes big stacks in a form that can be reloaded, so a world is not lost if the mod is removed, though many items may be.

Questions

Does Stacc add any items on its own?

No. The mod is an API only, and it does nothing until another mod uses it to create items with larger stacks.

Are worlds safe if Stacc is uninstalled?

The serialization scheme keeps the world loadable, but many items with large stacks will be lost when the mod is removed.

What the author says

It also replaces the item count renderer for very large numbers (>1000) to avoid the text from covering up adjacent slots and implements various bug fixes to allow for…
