What it does

Rare music discs are often locked in chests, where they gather no attention. This NeoForge mod gives each disc a place on display, using racks and item-frame-like displays that show the record and its album cover. A displayed disc can be browsed, and a player can still listen to it without moving it back into storage.

The mod links the collection to a jukebox controller and a hub, so discs can be moved physically between the display and a jukebox. Disc racks connect to a Sound Box, and speakers attached to that box carry the music further away. A remote connection gives access to the stored collection from a distance, and the Sound Box can be used on the go.

Displayed discs take their color from the disc texture, sampled dynamically. Modded music discs work when their item textures are supported, and custom textures for each displayed disc can be added through a resource pack using a template. Installation needs NeoForge and runs on client and server, so both the server and every player need the mod. The code is not open source; the assets are released under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license, and public links exist for the source code and the issue tracker. Files target 1.21.1 only, with 1.3.9 as the latest build from 2026-07-08, first published on 2026-05-29.

Key features

  1. Disc racks and displays

Racks and displays show music discs with their album covers, so favourite records stay visible while still being used.

  2. Playback from the collection

A stored disc can be played directly from the collection without taking it out of the display.

  3. Sound Box range and speakers

Speakers connected to a Sound Box extend the area where its music can be heard.

  4. Color-sampled disc textures

Displayed discs take their colors from their textures, sampled dynamically, and modded disc textures are supported.
