SPm blocks counter

by MaximPixel

SPm blocks counter is a client-side Fabric utility that logs each block a player places or breaks during a session, with the position, block ID and session totals shown in an in-game menu.

FabricClient-side onlyMIT LicenseOpen source1.21.1 – 1.21.11

What it does

Each time a block is placed or broken, the mod writes a record with its X, Y and Z position, an action type where 1 means broken and 2 means placed, and the block ID in the variant JSON format. Records are kept in real time while the game runs, and session totals of placed and broken blocks are counted as play goes on. The saved files can be read once the session ends.

The in-game menu opens with the G key by default and lists the session counts and options. The mod was made to help players generate reports on their activity during survival play on servers. It is client-side only, so the server does not need it. It is open source under the MIT License and is published for Fabric, with files for 1.21.1 and 1.21.11 and the latest file, 1.6.1, dated 2026-02-13.

Key features

  1. Placement and breakage log

Every placed or broken block is recorded with its position, action type and block ID as it happens.

  2. Session counters

Placed and broken blocks are tallied for the current session, so totals can be checked at any time during play.

  3. In-game menu

Pressing G, by default, opens a menu that shows the counts and gives access to the mod's options.

  4. Saved work sessions

Logs are written to the workSessions folder inside the game directory, where they can be read after the session ends.

Who it’s for: Survival players who want a record of their block activity, and players who need to report that activity to server staff. The mod is for the client only and does not change how the server runs.

SPmRestartAlarm is a Fabric client mod under the MIT License, published for 1.21.1, and it is also open source, so it covers a different job than block logging. Simple Counter is a Fabric client mod for 1.21 – 1.21.11 under the MIT License, but it is not open source. Pie Entity Counter is a Fabric client mod for 1.21.11 only, and it is not open source either. None of these listed alternatives logs individual block placements and breakages in the way this mod does.
