Soulful Nether reworks parts of the Nether with new biomes, a soul-themed plant and a new mob, and it needs TerraBlender to generate its biomes.

What it does

The mod adds the Ashen Deltas, a biome built around soul-themed versions of basalt delta terrain, and the Gloomy Glades, a sub-biome of the Warped Forest with a yellow and cyan palette that contains no soul blocks. Both are generated through TerraBlender, which is required on Fabric and Forge alike, so the biomes appear in new Nether worlds without any other setup.

Soulroots are a new plant obtained by planting beetroots on Soul Sand, Soul Soil or Lichoss. The mod also adds the Bone Wyrm, its first mob. Compatibility additions extend the Soulroot line with crates for a food mod and with frostbitten variants, including frostbitten popsicles, for a Nether expansion mod.

Soulful Nether is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only. Its builds target 1.20.1 on Fabric and Forge, and the client and server both run it. The latest Fabric file is 1.0.0, released 2024-11-23, and the latest Forge file is 1.0.2, released 2026-04-25.
