SneakLock
by seunghun-kim
SneakLock lets a player hold the sneak state by pressing both Shift keys together, so the character keeps sneaking without holding a key.
What it does
Pressing Left Shift and Right Shift at the same moment turns the sneak lock on, and pressing both again turns it off. While the lock is active the character stays in the sneak state, and jumping is disabled, which keeps a player from falling off an edge by accident. A status message in the action bar reports each change: green text when the lock is enabled and red OFF text when it is disabled.
The mod is a client-side utility for Fabric, and only the player's client needs it. Servers run without it, and a player can join a multiplayer server without installing anything. SneakLock is published for Fabric across five release versions, 1.21.4 – 26.1.2, and the latest file, 0.3.0, targets 26.1.2. The code is open source under the MIT License, and the source code and issue tracker are public.

Locked sneak state
While the lock is on, the character remains in the sneak state without a key held down.
Jump blocking
Jumping is turned off during the lock, which prevents accidental falls from ledges while sneaking.

Use cases
Careful edge walking
A player moving along a cliff, bridge or roof edge can keep the sneak state in place while the lock is active.
Long slow movement
Players who need to move at sneak speed for a long stretch can avoid holding Shift for the whole trip.
Who it’s for: Players on Fabric who want a sneak state that stays on without holding a key. The mod is a single-purpose utility and suits singleplayer and multiplayer clients alike.
How it compares
Toggle Toggle Sneak is a Fabric client mod for 1.21 – 26.3 under the MIT License, and it is not open source. Slot Lock is also client-side only and open source under the MIT License, but it covers 1.21.11 – 26.1 and locks inventory slots rather than sneaking. QoL 27 is client-side only, open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, and targets 1.21.5 – 26.3, with a wider set of quality-of-life changes.
