Slime Chunk Finder

by METABYTE

Slime Chunk Finder is a client-side utility that shows whether the chunk under the player is a slime chunk, without leaving the game.

FabricForgeClient-side onlyAll rights reserved1.20.1 – 1.21.4

What it does

The mod adds a debug readout to the F3 screen that reports slime chunk information for the player's current position, so a player searching a world for a slime farm site can check each chunk as they walk. A separate isslime command gives the same answer as a chat message, which is quicker when only a yes or no is needed.

Slime farms, plans for builds that need slimeballs, and exploration of large worlds are the main uses named in the author text. The author describes the mod as lightweight and says it adds convenience without a measurable performance cost. Seeded worlds are supported, so a known seed can be searched in advance. Installation needs only the Fabric or Forge loader on the client; the server and other players do not need it. Files are published for Fabric and Forge across the range listed above, with 1.1.0 for 1.21.4 as the latest Fabric build and 1.2.0 for 1.21.4 as the latest Forge build, and the code is released under All rights reserved, so it is not open source.

Key features

  1. F3 debug readout

Slime chunk status for the current chunk appears on the F3 debug screen, next to the coordinates.

  2. isslime command

Typing isslime reports at once whether the player stands in a slime chunk.

  3. Seed-aware detection

Detection follows the world seed, so chunks in a seeded world are checked the same way as in a random one.

  4. Light footprint

The author describes the mod as lightweight, adding the readout and command without a noticeable cost to play.
