Sky Spheres

Sky Spheres generates floating spherical structures in the sky, each built from blocks that match the biome it sits above.
What it does
Each sphere takes its materials from the biome beneath it, so a sphere over a desert looks different from one over a forest. Some spheres also contain ores and other resources, which gives explorers a reason to travel up and search them. Spheres appear only in the overworld, and their placement follows the configuration file.
Spheres can be tuned through a configuration file: size, height range, how often they generate per chunk, and how common ore spawns are inside them. The minimum height, maximum height, density and maximum sphere size all have defaults, so the mod works without any edits. Sky Spheres is a Forge mod for 1.12.2 only, released under the MIT License, and it is open source. It runs on the server alone, so players join without installing it.
