Simply Tooltips

Simply Tooltips renders data-driven tooltips for items, but only for modded items that have a matching theme file, unless the config widens it.

What it does

Tooltips are drawn from data-driven theme files. By default, the mod only renders tooltips for modded items that have a valid Simply Tooltips theme, such as those from Simply Swords and Simply Bows. Two config options extend coverage: applyTooltipsToModItems covers every modded item, and applyTooltipsToVanillaItems covers vanilla items.

The mod is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, with files for 1.20.1 and 1.21.1. It is client-side only, so servers need nothing installed. Architectury API and Fzzy Config are required dependencies. The code is available on GitHub under a custom license that is not open source.

Does Simply Tooltips need to be installed on servers?

No. The mod is client-side only, so only players need it.

Why do some modded items show no tooltip?
