Simply Sulphur adds a sulphur ore that generates in Nether basalt deltas and works as a stronger fuel and gunpowder source than coal.
What it does
Sulphur ore generates naturally in basalt deltas in the Nether and drops sulphur when mined with a tool above wood tier, and Fortune and Silk Touch both apply to it. Sulphur can be smelted or used as fuel, where a sulphur item burns for 3000 ticks, or 150 seconds, and a sulphur block is listed as the more efficient form. Crafting sulphur with charcoal produces gunpowder, and a charcoal block plus a sulphur block is an alternative block recipe yielding 18 gunpowder.
The ore is also explosive: striking it with flint and steel or a flaming arrow sets it off, and it chains with nearby sulphur blocks. Charcoal blocks burn for 16200 ticks, or 810 seconds, which makes them a long-lasting fuel for furnaces.
Simply Sulphur requires Fabric API on Fabric. Every player and the server need a copy of the mod. Builds exist for Fabric and Forge across 1.20 – 1.20.4, with 1.0.0 as the latest file for each loader, released under the MIT License as open source.
