SimpleTech for Fabric

by JohnPattox

SimpleTech for Fabric adds a family of sieves that separate valuable items from dirt and netherrack, from a hand-operated string sieve up to an automatic gold-tiered one.

FabricClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source1.17 – 1.19.2

What it does

Sieves are used to extract items from dirt and netherrack. A player places the material into a sieve and collects the results, with the string sieve needing manual work, while the automatic sieves are fed from chests through input and output sides. Bio and Nether sieves cover the nether material, and the golden tier handles larger batches without a player at the controls.

Each sieve is crafted from a simple recipe and is meant for early and mid-game technology setups, where a steady supply of nuggets and rare redstone or diamonds is useful. The mod is open source under the MIT License and runs on the client and server together, so both need it. It is published for Fabric only, across 8 release versions 1.17 – 1.19.2, with 2.3.0 for 1.19.2 as the latest file. Snapshot builds are also published.

Key features

  1. String sieve

A basic sieve that works by hand, the first step for players who want valuable metals from dirt.

  2. Automatic sieves

String, gold and other tiered sieves run without manual input once a chest supplies the material.

  3. Nether sieve

A sieve for netherrack that produces nether-specific results, alongside the Bio sieve.

  4. Chest input and output

Automatic sieves take material from a chest on one side and deliver results to a chest on the other.

Questions

Does SimpleTech need to be installed on the server?

Yes. Every player and the server need a copy of the mod.

Which loader does SimpleTech support?

Only Fabric. Files are published for Fabric alone, so Forge and NeoForge players cannot use it.

Does SimpleTech require other mods?

Sieve is named as a requirement in the author notes, so it must be installed alongside SimpleTech.
