Simple Pickaxe 5x5

by Feaz Labs

Simple Pickaxe 5x5 gives a pickaxe that breaks a 5×5 area in one action, so tunnels, quarries and base floors take fewer clicks.

FabricForgeNeoForgeClient and serverApache License 2.01.20.1 – 1.21.11

What it does

Instead of breaking one block at a time, the special pickaxe removes a full 5×5 patch of blocks per swing. The tool behaves like a normal pickaxe otherwise, with the same handling and the same feel as vanilla mining, and the mod adds no new systems, tech trees, machines or crafting chains. Its aim is to cut repetitive work on large excavations such as underground bases, quarry-style mining and terrain shaping.

The mod is built for players who want faster, more efficient digging without a learning curve. Files are published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, with builds covering 1.20.1 and 1.21.8 – 1.21.11. Installation covers the server and each player's game. The code is released under the Apache License 2.0 and is not open source.

Key features

  1. Five-by-five mining

One block break removes a 5×5 area, which speeds up digging large tunnels and flat floors.

  2. Vanilla-style tool

The pickaxe handles like a normal tool, with expanded reach in place of a new mining system.

  3. No new systems

There are no machines, tech trees or complex crafting chains; the change stays a straightforward mining upgrade.

Use cases

Quarry-style mining

Clearing a broad shaft or quarry floor takes far fewer swings than mining block by block.

Underground bases

Hollowing out rooms and corridors for a base goes faster, with less time spent on repetitive breaks.

Who it’s for: Players who build large projects underground or on the surface, and server owners who want a simple mining upgrade that every player can join without new mechanics to learn.
