Simple ant adds ants to the world as a datapack, with three ant types that gather and move around colonies found inside ant mounds.
What it does
Ants spawn in the world with simplistic behavior. Three types are included: Worker, Super Major and Queen. Ants sharing a color belong to the same colony, and colors are randomized. Starting colonies are located inside ant mounds, which generate fairly often across the world.
Worker ants can pick up items, and the mod ships datapack compatibility for Crop Kettle, Myriad and Farmer's Delight Refabricated. A datapack config is reached through a function named simpleant, and a server admin can set options through it. The author reports good performance with a queen and 500 ants in one test.
Simple ant is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, and as a Data pack, across six release versions, 1.21.11 – 26.3. Only the server needs it, while players may leave it out. The license is Creative Commons Attribution Non Commercial Share Alike 4.0, and the mod is not open source.
