Shulker Tooltip
Shulker Tooltip shows the contents of a shulker box as a tooltip when the cursor rests over it in the inventory, so a box can be checked without placing it down.
What it does
Holding the cursor over a shulker box in an inventory screen opens a preview of the items inside. A key, Left Alt by default, toggles the preview on and off, and a separate key opens an experimental screen that shows the box's contents in a larger view. The tooltip only appears on the client, so it changes nothing on a server and joins servers without any setup beyond the client install.
The mod is built for Forge and NeoForge across 13 release versions 1.18 – 1.21.6, and its files list several 1.21 builds including 1.21.1 and 1.21.6. Shulker Tooltip is released under All rights reserved and is not open source. The author has also made a Fabric version, and the author states the mod is free to use in modpacks, with credit requested where possible.
