shipwheel compatibility patch for eureka ships

by TheIcyPhoenix

Shipwheel Compatibility Patch for Eureka Ships lets a Eureka Ships helm be right-clicked on an already assembled ship, so it can serve as the flight control.

ForgeClient and serverAll rights reserved1.20.1

What it does

The patch changes how a helm interacts with a ship that is already assembled. Right-clicking the wheel on an assembled ship uses it directly, instead of starting a new assembly. The standard helm is hidden in that case, so the ship can be flown from one control that looks like the main one.

The helm from Eureka Ships must still exist on the same ship, because its physics stop behaving correctly when it is removed. Installation needs Eureka Ships for Valkyrien Skies and Valkyrien Skies on Forge. The Client and server environment means the server and every player need the patch. Files are published for Forge 1.20.1, and the license is All rights reserved, so the mod is not open source.

Key features

  1. Helm on assembled ships

A helm can be right-clicked on a ship that is already assembled, without assembling a new one.

  2. Hidden standard helm

The original helm is hidden on the ship, so flight is controlled from a single visible wheel.

  3. Pirate ship patch

The patch targets the pirate ship content of Eureka Ships and adjusts its AI, since the upstream builder no longer supports Forge.

What the author says

shipwheel from it can now be right clicked on already assembled ship, dont assemble a ship with it,just assemble with normal one and hide original shiphelm, that way when you fly with this one it would look like main helm,if you remove eureka helm physics go haywire so both are needed to exist on the same ship. this…
