Shippy Ships
by Caesius_Leo
Players who want sailing on a world can add Shippy Ships, which brings functional vessels with animated sails and rudders to Minecraft.
What it does
Shippy Ships adds a set of ships meant to be explored and piloted in the world. Vessels sway with the sea, and the sway grows stronger during rain and thunderstorms. The sail opens and closes in a smooth, continuous motion that the pilot controls, and the rudder turns visibly according to the player's inputs. Ships are made from Dark Oak, Pale Oak and Cherry wood, so the builds match the wood types already in the game.
Each ship has its own role. The smallest is light and fast, suited to shallow water, coasts, rivers and small canals. Larger hulls trade speed for storage and health, and the biggest ones carry many more passengers, with a galleon able to serve as a cargo ship or warship. Ships that are heavy or deep-hulled handle deep water less well than the lighter designs. The mod depends on Ingenium API, which must be installed alongside it. Old Cannons is an optional dependency. Shippy Ships runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it, and it is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across 15 release versions, 1.20.1 – 26.3, under a custom license that is not open source.

Use cases
Who it’s for: Players who want vehicles that sail on their own worlds, and server owners who want a sea-based part of their gameplay. The ships need a crew to work properly, and the galleon needs a crew of at least six.
