ShinobiOrigin's Utils

by Saber_Art

Shinobi Origin's Utils is a Forge library that lets other mods call jutsu from entity code and commands, aimed at Naruto-style content on Minecraft 1.12.2.

ForgeClient and serverAll rights reserved1.12.2

What it does

The library adds an executejutsu command that runs a jutsu for a given entity by passing its UUID as the last argument. Entities from CustomNpcs can use jutsu this way, so a scripted character can perform techniques without a player controlling it. The command requires operator permission to run, and the jutsu must be known to the entity.

The mod also adds Mixins support, which other utility and library mods can build on. Jutsu of the Dojutsu and Ninjutsu types consume chakra, and some abilities such as summoning shadow clones depend on that resource, so a caller has to account for it. Because the jutsu are selected by index, a command will not work correctly until the index of the next jutsu learner is looked up.

Installation needs Forge for Minecraft 1.12.2 and nothing else. Servers that run it need every player to install it too. Files are published on the beta channel, with 1.8.0 as the latest file dated 2026-02-09, and the license is All rights reserved, so the code is not open source.

Key features

  1. executejutsu command

A command runs a jutsu for a chosen entity, identified by its UUID, which makes it usable from scripts and NPC events.

  2. Entity-driven jutsu

Non-player entities such as CustomNpcs characters can trigger jutsu, so their behavior can include techniques.

  3. Elemental release types

Fire, wind, earth, water, lightning, wood, explosion, storm, magnet, ice, lava, dust, scorch, boil, skeletal and other release types are covered by the jutsu the library exposes.

  4. Senjutsu and kekkei mora

Sage mode, six path senjutsu, kekkei mora and the yang, yin and medical releases are included among the jutsu families.

How it compares

Full comparison

AHZNB's Naruto Jutsu is also a Forge mod for 1.12.2 under All rights reserved, open source no, with the same client and server environment. Kozhin's Lib is a Forge mod for 1.20.1 under All rights reserved, also not open source, so it does not cover the 1.12.2 version this mod targets. CNPCs BBS Addon runs on Fabric, Forge and NeoForge for 1.20.1 – 1.21.1, which is a different version range.

Questions

Does the server need Shinobi Origin's Utils?

Yes. Servers that run it need every player to install it too.

Who can run the executejutsu command?

The command requires operator permission, so it is intended for server owners and command blocks with the right level.

Why does a jutsu command fail for some entities?

Jutsu are selected by index, and the command will not work until the index of the next jutsu learner is looked up. Chakra costs also apply to Dojutsu and Ninjutsu.
