Sherds API
Sherds API is a library that lets other mods register new pottery sherds, so decoration content can be added without custom sherd code.
What it does
Sherds API provides the registration and handling that mods need to add pottery sherds to the game. Mods that depend on it can define their own sherds and place them in the world as decoration, without writing that plumbing themselves. It is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt across 15 release versions, 1.19.4 – 26.1.2, and requires Fabric API on Fabric. Client and server both need it, since the sherds are seen by every player on a server that runs it.
Key features
Sherd registration
Other mods can register new pottery sherds through the library instead of building the sherd system from scratch.
Decoration support
Registered sherds can be placed as decorative blocks and appear in pottery patterns added by dependent mods.
Shared library
Several sherd-adding mods can rely on one common base, so they do not each carry a separate copy of the code.
