Server Resource Pack Ignorer

by JustGnat

Server Resource Pack Ignorer lets a player decline a server's required resource pack and continue to play without accepting it, on Fabric for 1.21.10 – 1.21.11.

FabricAll rights reserved1.21.10 – 1.21.11

What it does

A button labeled Ignore and Continue is added to the Confirm Server Resources screen, which appears when a server asks for a resource pack. Choosing it enters the server with vanilla textures instead of accepting the pack. The option exists for players who want to join a server without its pack, though some servers may still disconnect a client that refuses the pack.

The mod has a settings menu with options that change how the prompt behaves. Stop Client Disconnect makes the client press the Disconnect button on that screen when a server would otherwise kick it, and Always Show Prompt opens the Confirm Resources screen even when a server has set its resource packs to load without asking. Both options are stored in the config file, and translations are included for several languages.

Server Resource Pack Ignorer is a Fabric-only utility that runs on the client alone, so players install it and servers need nothing. The latest Fabric file is 1.2.0 for 1.21.11, released 2026-02-08, and the mod is released under All rights reserved, so it is not open source.

Questions

Does Server Resource Pack Ignorer need to be on the server?

No. The mod is not published as server-side, and players install it on their own client, so servers need nothing.

Which loader and game versions does the mod support?

The mod is published for Fabric only, for 1.21.10 and 1.21.11. The latest file is 1.2.0 for 1.21.11.

Will every server let the player continue without the pack?

Not always. The author notes that some servers forcefully disconnect a client anyway, even when the Stop Client Disconnect option is enabled.
