Seamless Ores

Seamless Ores changes how ore textures blend into the stone around them, so veins in the Overworld no longer look pasted onto the wall.

What it does

The mod adds ore variants that take on the background of the stone they generate in. Vanilla stones such as granite, andesite and tuff, as well as stones added by other mods, get matching variants for ores, and gold, iron and redstone ores that sit beside each other pick up the same treatment. Large copper veins in dripstone caves stop looking like solid copper once the stone behind them shows through. Ore left bare in clay or moss becomes clay moss, and calcite and smooth basalt receive ores only in the stone layers that Create places.

The mod works with vanilla ores and with modded ores, and it keeps the same veins and drops. Support for Minecraft 26.2 and 26.3 covers Sulfur Caves, where cinnabar holds ores too, and Lush Caves, where the mod removes little of the clutter. Geology is off by default. A modded block exists only when the mod that adds it is installed, so nothing needs configuring for blocks that are absent. The mod works alongside Terralith, JEI, REI and Jade. It needs only Fusion.

Questions

Does Seamless Ores need Fabric API on every loader?

Fabric API is required, and Cloth Config API is required as well. Cloth Config API Forge is optional for Forge installs.

Does the mod need to be on the server?

Yes. The server and every player need the mod installed.

Will the ore count in the Overworld change?

The amount stays almost exactly the same because veins keep their positions. Only the look of the ores and stones changes, and a few settings alter the amount, listed under their own switch.
