SCP-682, The Hard To Destroy Reptile
by Zcoper
SCP-682, The Hard To Destroy Reptile adds a Forge monster from the SCP universe that players cannot kill by ordinary means, and it needs Geckolib to run.
What it does
The creature is modeled on the SCP-682 entry and appears as a large reptile that breaches containment and moves through five stages of size. Attacks slow down as the creature is hurt, and it shrinks toward its smallest form before regrowing into a larger one, so a fight does not end with a single kill. Its regeneration and speed are what make it unkillable without cheats or other mods that change that rule.
SCP-682 spawns only after it has breached, so it does not appear in ordinary overworld generation like a regular monster. A creative item can force a breach, and the gamerule doSCP682Spawn set to true allows it to spawn. Another gamerule, enableSCP683SizeChange, set to false turns off the size changes. The mod is created with MCreator and requires Geckolib. It runs on Forge for 1.20.1, and the files cover 1.19.2, 1.19.4 and 1.20.1 with the 1.0.0 release dated 2026-06-10 as the latest file. The code is not open source and is released under All rights reserved.
Key features
Five size stages
The creature moves through five sizes, from its largest form down to its smallest, and then regrows.
Regeneration
Extreme regenerative abilities let the creature recover from attacks, so a single fight rarely removes it.
Breach-only spawning
The monster does not spawn until it has breached, and only one instance exists in a world at a time.
Gamerule controls
The doSCP682Spawn and enableSCP683SizeChange gamerules let server owners choose when it spawns and whether it changes size.
