SAH Project "No Falame&Smoke"

by SAH

SAH Project "No Falame&Smoke" lets players switch off the flame and smoke particles that torches, candles and other light sources emit, on the client side.

FabricClient-side onlyMIT License1.21 – 26.3

What it does

The mod targets the constant fire smoke particles that vanilla torches, redstone torches, soul torches and candles produce. A simple Mod Menu screen offers global toggles that disable flames or smoke across the whole game, and per-block toggles that disable them for each torch or candle type individually. One click on the restore button brings every option back to its default.

Changes apply immediately in-game, although the author notes that a restart is required. With defaults untouched, the game behaves exactly like vanilla. Options are set through the Mod Menu interface rather than by editing configuration files. Blocks present in a given game version appear active in the menu, and those absent from it appear greyed out. The mod runs on Fabric and is published across 17 release versions, under the MIT License, but it is not open source.

Key features

  1. Global particle toggles

Two global switches disable flame and smoke particles for every light source at once.

  2. Per-block control

Flames and smoke can be turned off one at a time for each type of torch and candle.

  3. Restore vanilla button

A single button resets all particle options to their default, matching vanilla behavior.

  4. Mod Menu configuration

Options appear in a Mod Menu screen, so no configuration files need editing.
