SafeCrystal

by sawiq_

SafeCrystal is a Fabric client mod that blocks End Crystal placement and detonation near valuable items, using a configurable radius.

FabricClient-side onlyMIT LicenseOpen source1.21 – 1.21.11

What it does

Before a player places an End Crystal on obsidian or bedrock, SafeCrystal checks the area around the target for valuable items. If any are found within the configured radius, the placement is cancelled. The same check applies when a player attacks or detonates a crystal that is already in place, so an explosion does not destroy nearby loot.

The list of valuables is picked in a two-panel screen with search. Items can be selected one by one, with Ctrl for multi-select and Shift for a range. The default scan distance is 10 blocks, and it can be changed in the config. Mod Menu is optional and opens the config screen from its list.

SafeCrystal runs on the client alone, so only the player who installs it is protected and servers need nothing. It requires Fabric API and is published only for Fabric, across 12 release versions, under the MIT License, and the project is open source.

Key features

  1. Crystal placement protection

End Crystals cannot be placed on obsidian or bedrock when valuables are within the configured radius.

  2. Crystal detonation protection

Attacks on placed End Crystals are blocked while valuables are detected near the crystal.

  3. Valuables list

A two-panel screen with search lets players pick which items count as valuable.

  4. Multi-select and range selection

Ctrl adds single items to the selection and Shift selects a range in the list.

  5. Configurable radius

The scan distance defaults to 10 blocks and can be set to suit the player's base or farm.
