Safe AFK

by ozozorz

Safe AFK is a client-side Fabric utility that keeps a player's session safer while idle on servers such as DonutSMP and 2B2T.

FabricClient-side onlyMIT LicenseOpen source26.1.2 – 26.2

What it does

The mod targets AFK farming on servers where other players may approach an idle character. When a player who is not on the whitelist approaches within range, the mod sends a warning to the local player, and it can optionally disconnect them automatically. It can also open the pause menu automatically when the game window loses focus, so the screen stops showing the game.

Two whitelists are kept independently, and both accept player names, dashed UUIDs and UUIDs without dashes. Features are configured through Mod Menu, whose configuration screen is available in English and Simplified Chinese. Mod Menu is optional, but without it the settings are not reachable from the game.

Safe AFK runs on Fabric for 26.1.2 and 26.2, with the latest file 3.1.1+26.2 for 26.2, first published and last updated on 2026-07-15. Only the client needs it, and the mod is released under the MIT License as open source.

Key features

  1. Nearby player warnings

The client alerts the player when a non-whitelisted player enters the surrounding area.

  2. Automatic disconnection

An optional setting logs the player out once a non-whitelisted player comes too close.

  3. Pause on focus loss

The pause menu opens automatically when the game window loses focus, so the idle screen is hidden.

  4. Independent whitelists

Two player whitelists are kept separately, and both accept names, dashed UUIDs or UUIDs without dashes.
