RPM2RF

by Partonetrain

RPM2RF adds a single Alternator block that converts Create kinetic energy into Forge Energy, and it requires Create.

ForgeClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source1.19.2 – 1.20.1

What it does

The Alternator turns rotational speed from Create into Forge Energy, using a quadratic curve that maps RPM to output. The mod is a standalone conversion tool built on the Create mod, and it borrows some math and code from the Create Additions mod.

Output settings are configurable, and the Alternator needs at least 32 RPM before it produces energy. Create is the required dependency. Both the server and every player need the mod, and it is released under the MIT License as open source for 1.19.2 – 1.20.1.

Key features

  1. RPM to Forge Energy

One block converts shaft rotation from Create into Forge Energy for other power-using machines.

  2. Quadratic conversion curve

Energy output follows a quadratic curve of RPM, so faster shafts yield disproportionately more power.

  3. Configurable output

Output values can be adjusted through the mod's configuration options.

Questions

Does RPM2RF need Create?

Yes. Create is the required dependency, and the Alternator reads shaft speed from it.

How fast must a shaft turn to produce energy?

The Alternator requires at least 32 RPM before it produces any output.

What the author says

This mod adds a single block, the Alternator, which converts kinetic energy (as RPMs) from Create to Forge Energy in a quadratic curve. If you're familiar with the alternator from Create Additions (this borrows some code from it), it's like that, but the math that determines output and the configuration options are…
